Action Alert: LGBT Haitians Need Your Help!

100% of L$ donations collected at HOLLYWOOD BABYLON will go directly towards relief & support efforts for the LGBT Community in Haiti through the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.

In partnership with the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), Second Pride is collecting donations that will go directly to local organizations involved with earthquake relief for the LGBT community in Haiti.

LGBT people in Haiti, especially transgender people, are particularly vulnerable in times of crisis because many already lead a marginal existence with fewer resources. They are more likely to be unemployed or underemployed and less likely to have family members to look out for them. They are also more at risk of violence, when tempers flare.

HIV+ people will be missing doses of their lifesaving medicines and HIV regimens require consistent use...disruption of the dosing regimen can allow active disease to re-emerge.

IGLHRC has identified three local groups that will receive 100% of the Linden you donate at Hollywood Babylon:

• SEROvie, an organization providing services to HIV+ LGBT people in Haiti
• ACCV (Civil Action Against HIV), a partner organization
• Colectiva Mujer y Salud, a feminist Dominican organization that has crossed the border into Haiti in order to assist with direct relief to communities and to the many victims.

In this time of crisis and need, please support the courageous and necessary relief work being done to help the people of Haiti, regardless of where you donate your money, supplies, or time.
