LGBT Community Gateway in Second Life

At 3:00 pm SLT on April 1st 2010, Linden Labs flipped the switch and the LGBT Gateway on the Pride sim went operational.

This brings us closer to our goal of creating an international community for gay people in Second Life and of providing direction and discovery for new as well as experienced residents traveling through our world.

Also of note, the Gateway is primarily overseen by the Gay Archipelago and Second Pride groups, bringing increased traffic and exposure to the businesses and services working with us. However the LGBT Community Gateway is open to every LGBT sims in Second Life and more groups are currently joining in.

If you are interested in volunteering as a greeter/mentor to the newbies as they move through the Gateway, please contact Philip Eubanks or Thormec Micheline. Your involvement in the Gateway will be fun, rewarding and greatly appreciated.
