Second Pride

Would you like to participate in the Pride Parade onMay 29, 2010? You will need a Parade Barge!  The Parade Barge base is FREE.

But entry into the parade is as follows: 

• 2 Person Barge: L$1,350
• 3 Person Barge: L$2,025
• 5 Person Barge: L$3,375

All proceeds from the Pride Parade go to CHARITY!  Our charity of choice this year is the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.

In the parade, the barges follow the perimeter of a water sim.  The barges are auto-pilot, so you will not sink or go astray.  For the Pride Festival, four sims border the water sim.  Spectators watch the Pride Parade from each of these sims.  Lag is greatly reduced!

A few words about the Parade Barge BASE.  You can decorate the base and individualize it to represent the proud spirit of your group, club, or business.

• You can change the colour of your barge base by just clicking on it.  You can also pull the texture into your graphics program and change the entire look!

• You can also resize your barge!  But please stretch the barge in proportion!  The length of the barge will not exceed 10 meters.

• There is also a height restriction!  You cannot build a structure  on your barge higher than 5 meters, or the barge won’t fit under bridges.

• Remember to add objects onto your barge that avatars can sit on or pose on.  So 2 avatars would need 2 objects, 3 avatars would need 3, etc.

ALERTS:

• Anything you add to your Parade Barge must be FULL PERMISSIONS (modify, copy, transfer)

• Everything on your barge must be LINKED to the barge base!

• Only 31 prims can be linked to a Pride Barge!  Use your prims wisely!

• After everything is linked, you must NAME your barge in  Edit • General • Description  For example, if you are the Pink Panther club, you  may want to type “Pink Panther Club” in the description.

When you are finished designing and decorating your barge, you must take it to a processing plant.  The processing plant will only accept barges that are full perm! The processing plant will look for the name of a linked object!

The processing plant also wants you to delete the SCRIPT that is inside the barge base!  But don’t delete the textures in the base!

Our processing plant is very clever!  First, you pay it for the number of avatars on your barge.  Remember:

• 2 Person Barge: $L1,350
• 3 Person Barge: $L2,025
• 5 Person Barge: $L3,375

Once you have paid, the processing plant will add the autopilot script to your barge. It will also record the name you gave your barge, and assign the barge a position in the parade!  First, the processing plant will ask you to choose a general time.  Your 3 choices are:

• 11AM-1PM SLT
• 1PM-3PM SLT
• 3PM-5PM SLT

Next, the processing plant will spit out some text and some funny numbers.  It will look something like this:

Pink Panther Club  11-1-23

Which means between 11 and 1PM, the Pink Panther Club has the number #23 position in the parade.

Where is this processor plant?  Right on the Pride Sim (SLurl).

But not to worry, it doesn’t  open for business until April 1st!
